Meeting of the Agricultural Ministers of the CEFTA Countries

The Ministers of Agriculture of the CEFTA countries meet once a year on an informal basis in order to exchange information and views on current topics in the field of agriculture, including the implementation of agricultural concessions provided for in CEFTA. The Ministers does not take any formal decisions.

The Ministers or their Deputies discussed issues relating to the situation, national strategies and policies in the agricultural sector in the CEFTA countries. They exchanged information on the accession of the CEFTA countries to the EU. The Ministers were also informed about the results of the fifth meeting of the Subcommittee on Agricultural Trade, held in May 2003 in Ljubljana. Finally, they appreciated the great job done over several years by the Czech Republic in preparing the Agri-food Database .
